Checky 0.5 for Mozilla and Netscape

The Checky plug-in is a simple Interface for web content and resource developers to free and commercial online Validator and Checker services.

With Checky you can now easy setup, combine and use 17 different online Validator and Checker services. Simple choose your services with Chicky-Agent than browse to a web resource and press F10 to display the results of the selected services in a new browser tab or window.

Service-Interfaces available for HTML, XHTML, CSS, RDF, RSS, XML, SGML, WAI, 508, various viewer, valets and purifiers.

What's new in v0.5?

• Checky is now part of browser context menu.
• Preferences panels added for global settings, individual services and Checky-Agent.
• Checky-Agent to fire up more than one service with a single keyboard shortcut (F10).
• German (de-AT) and English (en-US) language support.
• Signed application v0.5 (no additional features now) and Checky CA available.

To do:

• File uploads! Here we need help!!! If you have some experience with posting form and file data to a web server with Mozilla XUL, XPCOM and JavaScript please post a message to checky@mozdev.org or contact Joachim.
• Define services in RDF datasources...
• ...and use templates for preferences panels and context menu.
• Add more services and keyboard shortcuts.
• More languages.

New: Checky - Certificate Authority for your own signed applications

To help signing your own Mozilla applications you can request a certificate from checky.mozdev.org CA. Just submit a Checky Bugzilla enhancement report for Component CA with detailed information. You will than recieve a certificate and detailed instructions to easy start signing your own Mozilla projects.
