1.27 hyatt 12: <p>
1.28 hyatt 13: Plugin support has been greatly improved. Crashes when scrolling pages with Flash have
14: been fixed. This build is generally much more stable with plugins than 0.2.4. Plugins
15: will now stay inside the window and not paint on your toolbars and status bar.
17: The ability to choose your renderer has been fully implemented. From the View menu,
18: you can select "Smooth Text" to use Quartz anti-aliasing. If you turn this option off,
19: you will be using Quickdraw un-antialiased text. International users can turn off
20: the Quartz anti-aliasing to view non-Roman characters. This can also be used as a good
21: debugging tool to find out whether performance or rendering problems are specific to our
22: Quartz rendering implementation.
24: Menulist popups will now position themselves properly when the page is scrolled.
26: You can now drag and drop links from a page onto Gecko windows to load the URL in that

29: <b>What's New (0.2.3 -> 0.2.4)</b>
31: Plugins plugins plugins! Quicktime seems to work rather well, but Flash still has several
32: crashers. Pages with Flash *will* be unstable in this build. Do not replace 0.2.3 with
33: this build unless you like living on the edge. :)
35: - Gamma correction has been returned (hopefully) to the 0.2.1 level.
37: - Font defaults have been tweaked a fair bit to hopefully provide a better default browsing
38: experience than 0.2.3.
40: - Popups now position themselves better. (I won't go so far as to say "properly", but they're
43: - Textareas now have an Aqua appearance (this was left out of 0.2.3).

1.25 hyatt 45: <b>What's New (0.2.2 -> 0.2.3)</b>
1.6 hyatt 46: <p>
1.25 hyatt 47: Chimera 0.2.2 was compiled with correct ATSUI (ATSUI with kerning and ligatures
48: enabled). Yes, we have that working, but as you saw, it slows things down substantially.
49: Chimera 0.2.3 returns to the fast ATSUI as the default. This pref will eventually be
50: exposed in Advanced preferences (along with the ability to use Quickdraw as well).
52: The gamma correction regression present in 0.2.2 has been fixed in 0.2.3.
54: The form controls are now Aqua. This includes button, checkboxes, radio buttons, textfields,
55: listboxes and menulists. Most importantly menulists now function! :)
57: Some more crash fixes also made it into 0.2.3.
62: <p><b>What's New (0.2.1 -> 0.2.2)</b>
1.19 hyatt 63: <p>
1.23 hyatt 64: Chimera can now open URLs sent to it from other apps, so you can
65: now make Chimera your default browser and not have it sit there
66: looking stupid when you tell it to load something. ;)
1.19 hyatt 67: <p>
1.22 hyatt 68: Text Zoom has been implemented, so you can now increase and decrease
69: the font size used in a Web page.
1.19 hyatt 70: <p>
1.22 hyatt 71: Chimera now obeys the new minimum font size pref, ensuring that
72: Quartz-rendered fonts don't fall below the typical anti-aliasing cutoff
74: Quartz rendering has been improved. In addition to being speedier,
75: it now has fixes for printing and for text spacing.
77: Chimera now has a bookmarks toolbar. Like the Mozilla Classic personal
78: toolbar, Chimera's toolbar can wrap to multiple rows and supports pages
79: and folders.
81: Bookmarks management has been improved. You can now specify where you
82: want to create a new bookmark. You can now create new folders.
83: The sidebar tree widget has been enhanced to support more keyboard
84: navigation (left/right arrows to open/close, return to launch,
85: delete key to delete, etc.).
87: Bookmark groups have been fully implemented. When adding a bookmark
88: with multiple tabs open, you have the option of bookmarking all the
89: tabs as a single group. Use this feature to load bundles of pages in a single
1.19 hyatt 91: <p>
1.22 hyatt 92: Background tab loading will now work. Background tabs will now refresh
93: properly if left unattended.

1.3 hyatt 100: <p>
1.5 hyatt 101: Chimera has complete build instructions on mozilla's Web pages (under
102: the code name ChimChim). You can find those instructions
103: <a href="http://www.mozilla.org/ports/fizzilla/ChimChim.html">here</a>.
104: Be aware that the downloadable build listed above contains numerous
105: patches to Mozilla that have not yet been accepted, so any builds that
106: you do will not be as stable or as performant as the downloadable
107: build above.
1.3 hyatt 108: <p>
109: If you have questions about building, use the chimera mailing list or hop on to #mozilla, and someone can help you out.
