Added xml-rpc link.

1: You can read what Bookie is here, but here's the
2: long and short of it:
3:
4:

5: Bookie is an application which keeps all your bookmarks on a
6: central server so that you can access bookmarks from anywhere on the web.
7:

8:
9:
I have a server which is currently using <a
10: href="http://www.xmlrpc.com">XML-RPC and implements three commands:
11:
getRoot
,
getNode
and
getChildren
. It
12: returns RDF data in the same
13: format that Mozilla itself internally for bookmarks. This is all I need to
14: iterate through a tree.
15:
16:
The Mozilla client is still very rudimentary, but it does pick up XML-RPC
17: queries and display the RDF in a little window.. If you enjoy pain or would
18: like to help, then you can pick up the code from <a
19: href="/source/browse/bookie/clients/mozilla/extensions/bookie/resources">here.
20: Thanks to Aaron Andersen for the cool <a
21: href="http://www.xulplanet.com/tutorials/xulapp/">tutorial.
22:
23:
You do have to have the XML-RPC extensions to use the client. Go to your
24: mozilla/extensions/xml-rpc directory and
"nmake -f
25: makefile.win"
should take care of the problem.
26:
27:
Using the server requires
28:
29: Jena, <a
30: href="http://classic.helma.at/hannes/xmlrpc/">XMLRPC-Java, <a
31: href="http://jakarta.apache.org/log4j/docs/index.html">Log4j, and <a
32: href="http://www.junit.org/">Junit. At least.
33:
34:
There is an Ant script
35: available here.
36:
37:
Suggestions and comments are welcome.
