The autoOpenID extension looks for OpenID
sign-in forms while you browse the web and (depending of its configuration) can log-in (or just propose to log-in) automaticaly with no more than one

At the moment, this extension is only available for Firefox,
but there exist a preview for Fennec.

What it does

AutoOpenID detects when a log-in form accepting an OpenID is present on the web page you are viewing. If so, it automatically fills the input field with your last used OpenID and allows you to authenticate securely and rapidly with only one confirmation click.

If you activate (with a click) the input field, AutoOpenID shows you (in the bottom of the screen) a notification box where you can confirm that you want to log in with your OpenID key, choose another one, access to a (small) option dialog or just give up.

Take a tour

This short video (click on the image beside) shows you a quick preview of the way AutoOpenID can simplify your journey.

How to adapt it to your needs

A little set of options will make your web experience more suited to the way you like it.

The option dialog is accessible either through the add-ons manager or when you click on a OpenID input field :

or

The available options are very simple :

Choose to activate or not AutoOpenID

choose to automaticaly insert the last used OpenID in the right input field

choose to display a button right after the input field, to submit the login form or to choose another OpenID key.

Manage the list of already used OpenID keys. Note that if you submit a log-in form with a new OpenID key, this key will be automatically added to the list.

In this example, the user has entered 3 OpenID keys and has just desactivated the display of the "automatic connection button" :
