11: <p id="intro">This is the the <b>Annozilla</b> project, designed to view and
12: create annotations associated with a web page, as defined by the <a
1.9 matthew 13: href="http://www.w3.org/2001/Annotea/">W3C Annotea project</a>. The idea is to
14: store annotations as RDF on a server, using XPointer (or at least XPointer-like
15: constructs) to identify the region of the document being annotated.</p>
16: <p>The intention of Annozilla is to use Mozilla's native facilities to
17: manipulate annotation data - its built-in RDF handling to parse the
18: annotations, and nsIXmlHttpRequest to submit data when creating
                     19: annotations.</p>
1.70 matthew 20: <p>To use Annozilla, you will need to <a href="installation/">install the
21: packages</a>, get set up with a user account with an annotation server <a
1.18 matthew 22: href="http://annotest.w3.org/access">(e.g., the W3C test server)</a>, and then
1.9 matthew 23: you should be ready to go.</p>
